Get It Done Right

In the Bible, David made numerous mistakes, illuminating the frailty of the human existence and reminding us that we will make mistakes - even when our hearts are focused on pleasing God. David’s mistakes were followed by confession, repentance, and accountability. As we discussed yesterday, David “got things done” and often, like us, when we get things done, we may encounter challenges.

David accepted the consequences of his actions. He owned mistakes and carefully followed each with a “get it done right” moment. Excellence in the form of paying attention to details, focusing on consistent action, and finding joy in the process regardless of if we are interacting with “our Goliath” (victories) or with “our Bathsheba” (temptations) are critical to our success.

Call to action: As you journey through life “getting it done” - do not settle! Get it done right! Be accountable for any result that is “off target” and use that to propel your success. Complacency often works in direct opposition to progress. Strive for excellence in all you do.
